Vision
Before RTSI's co-founders started the company in 1998, they had spent several years on the multi-unit operator's side of the desk. They sat through numerous demonstrations of the "latest and greatest" solutions for multi-unit restaurant information management. In the final analysis, each offering always seemed to fall short of what was really needed.
Thus, RTSI and the ROSnet service offering began from a single statement by the company's co-founders:
- "If nobody else can do it,
WE will do it,
and we will do it RIGHT."
From VERY humble beginnings -- a data center located in the co-founder's basement, and the first installation of the ROSnet service in a Winston-Salem, NC restaurant in 1998 -- RTSI has grown to become one of the industry's most respected providers of multi-unit information management technologies.

As you're reading about RTSI, you won't see anything about million-dollar venture capital loans. There's nothing wrong with VC... it's simply not the path that we decided to take in starting RTSI several years ago. Instead, RTSI has always operated on a rock-solid CASH basis. The company continues to operate virtually debt-free and without the typical financial burdens facing most restaurant industry ASPs today.
