GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Rosnet has an opening for a hands-on quality assurance engineer who can develop, design and execute testing strategies, plans and scripts. The successful candidate will guide the team of testers that is comprised of members of our Client Services staff in the necessary processes to ensure bug free applications that work as expected once released to production. This individual will also be responsible for establishing and growing our test automation platform. The candidate must be a self-starter and be willing to learn our complex application in order to own the delivery of quality.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Directly participate in QA automation development, test plan creation/execution, results analysis, and reporting.
Work along with the team to define, design & develop test plans, test cases and test scripts from written requirements.
Create and organize documentation to enhance user and staff understanding of testing techniques and best practices.
Test and validate configuration and programming changes (i.e., new releases, custom program changes, etc.) to verify compatibility with or impact on company systems.
Design and develop test tracking and reporting tools to ensure accurate and timely communication of results and issues at the departmental/program level.
Work with a team of other testers to be solely responsible for testing and signing off on all programming changes.
Develop and maintain reusable test suites.
Develop and Execute automated regression tests.
MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
All Rosnet software development, project test development, and execution
Test execution of all critical Production Support functionality.
All test preparation and execution of major initiatives (Real Time, EDI).
Creation of Reusable test suites.
The planning and execution of all testing phases: system, integration and user acceptance.
Evaluation of automated testing opportunities.
Implementation of automated test creation.
Communication for all testing across organization.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multi-task.
Must be highly organized.
Ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels both inside the organization.
Advanced computer and documentation skills.
Extremely detail oriented.
Able to adapt to change (flexible).
Must be to work with minimal supervision.
Must be an adept problem solver that goes beyond the obvious and will take the initiative to navigate around obstacles and challenges.
Experience or willingness to work in an Agile and Waterfall development environment.
